Happy Homekeeping Moments

Hi, everyone! I know I’ve been away from the blog lately; just been catching up on normal life. Anyway, here is this week’s list!

1. The Little Ones really enjoy playing together now. I love watching them run around, sing, practice the ABC’s, and play on the computer together.

2. Big Man and I enjoyed our Valentine’s dinner out. It was nice to be together, have a relaxing meal, and enjoy a movie that did not include singing Veggies.

3. Little Man looks so cute in his “big boy” crew cut. Plus it is easy and less expensive now that we can cut his hair here at home!

4. Little Lady is talking more and more each day. She knows most of her letters now and is starting to count. Very appropriately, her favorite word is “me.”

5. I’ve had lots of success in my recent kitchen experiments. One of my recent goals has been to include more veggies in our meals and trade pre-processed ingredients for homemade wherever I can. I’ve found some great veggie recipes that even I enjoy and I’ve successfully DIY’ed bagels, jam, flour tortillas, and chicken stock.

Thankfulness Day 17 and 18

Oops, I think I forgot to publish my Thankfulness post yesterday.  Here it is, along with today’s.

Day 17: Today I’m thankful that I got to catch up over the phone with a good friend. It was so nice to swap parenting stories, discuss trials and encouragements, and just enjoy each other’s company.

Day 18: Today I’m thankful for the evening mini-date Big Man and I enjoy most days. We put the kids to bed, and then cuddle on the couch with dessert and a fun TV show to watch. It’s a perfect way to relax together and I look forward to it every day.

Happy Homekeeping Moments

Here is this week’s list!

1. Little Lady is officially walking! It is so cute to watch her and Little Man walking together and playing “tag.”

2. The weather is finally starting to feel like autumn, and the colored leaves this year are phenomenal! Plus: pumpkin recipes, hot chocolate, and boots.

3. Big Man’s work schedule has changed for the better. It’s nice to have him home so much.

4. Little Man’s new thing is singing. He’ll just walk around the house singing the ABC’s or the Veggie Tales song and clap for himself at the end.

5. We enjoyed a family outing to the local pumpkin patch. Little Man absolutely loved the hay-bale maze and even enjoyed feeding the goats.
